LCC Powersports (Liberty Cycle Center) first opened it's doors on April 1st, 1968 - in Liberty Missouri, just outside of Kansas City. The dealership was founded by Bill Heishman and his late wife, Janey Heishman in a 400 square foot building selling Norton and Ducati motorcycles.
Later in 1969 Suzuki motorcycles were added to the line up. In 1972 a new 10,000 square foot building was constructed to offer customers the ultimate in motorcycles and accessories. In 1991 Liberty Kawasaki was purchased by LCC Powersports. In order handle the extra lines a 6,000 square foot addition was added. In August 2001 the Yamaha brand was added and most recently a KTM franchise was added to their family.
Now in their 48th year they offer four brands, Suzuki motorcycles and ATV's, Kawasaki motorcycles, ATV's, Yamaha motorcycles, ATV's and generators, KTM street and dirt motorcycles. As they are no longer just a motorcycle dealer in 2012 they felt a name change to LCC Powersports was in order to better represent their current line of products.
